The Clock

A list of all the rules concerning the Clock in Kojammi-Pool

Overview

Each Player has their own Clock in Kojammi-Pool. Each Player’s Clock runs during the period in which they are the Active Player from when they first Roll in a Round until the end of their Round. Players’ Clocks run down from the Starting Time in Normal Time and run up in Over Time to measure the total Match Time for each Player. Players must reach the required number of Frame Points before their Opponent within Normal Time to secure a Victory.

Rules Concerning Normal Time
  • One Player may be in Normal Time whilst another is in Over Time.
  • Players Clocks run down from the Starting Time when in Normal Time.
  • Players move from Normal Time to Over Time when their clocks reach 0 seconds having counted down from the Starting Time or upon the instance of the end of the Active Player’s final Turn in Normal Time.
  • Players must reach the required number of Frame Points in Normal Time before their Opponent in order to secure a Victory.
  • Should an Active Player be in the course of a Turn when the Clock changes from Normal Time to Over Time, said Turn will be counted as having taken place in Normal Time.
Rules Concerning Over Time
  • Over Time begins as soon as a Player’s Normal Time has expired, that is, reached 0 seconds or upon the instance of the end of the Active Player’s final Turn in Normal Time.
  • Player’s Clocks run up in Over Time until the end of the Match.
  • Players who are in Over Time are not eligible for a Victory and can only secure a Draw or a Loss.
Rules Concerning Total Time
  • If a Player is involved in a competition or league, their Total Time is used as the ultimate separating factor should it be required for Players who cannot be separated by other factors such as but not limited to league points etc.
Rules Concerning When The Clock Starts
  • An Active Player’s Clock starts from the moment they Roll their first White Ball over the Live Line into the Outfield area.
Rules Concerning When The Clock Stops
  • An Active Player’s Clock stops upon the instant of the end of their Round.
  • Active Player’s Clocks do not stop whilst an Opposing Player is placing a Penalty Ball, however the Opposing Player is bound by the Rules of Unsportsmanlike Behaviour.
  • Players are entitled to request one Time Out per Match in order for the Umpire to review a decision which the Player disagrees with. This Time Out will be restored to the Player should their enquiry be found to be correct. Should play run to a deciding Frame, both Players will have their Time Outs refreshed regardless of whether they have previously used the right in the Match.
  • Players Clocks do not run during the Set-Up.
